Time

I've been in a melancholy mood lately. We've been spending a lot of time with Jess and her family. They're leaving soon. It's bittersweet time together. I think I start to cry a good 4 or 5 times a day, but then I make myself stop... save it for the airport. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh military life. Sigh... anyway. Our kids have been playmates so long that they act like siblings (yes, this means some epic battles). It's always a great time... chaotic, but great. We are going to try and take a little day trip someplace not too daunting. Eight kids vs two Mom's, we're obviously outnumbered.

Rookie of the Year, Turning 30, and Summer Has Begun!

It's been a while! Quite a bit has happened, but I will just brief everyone on the big events :) Noah's baseball team won the championship game and Noah was named "Rookie of the Year" by his coach. Noah was so thrilled he forgot his certificate at the field :/ Luckily a friend of mine grabbed it for me. Sigh. I took tons of pics since it was the big game. They all got little trophies and certificates, pizza, soda, chips. They played so well! I haven't heard about baseball since. Noah's on to nagging incessantly about the swimming pool. Hooray! I turned the big 3-0. Not a big deal. Josh and I celebrated a few days early. He made me feel like Pretty Woman and spoiled the ever-lovin' crap out of me, which I allowed since this is the first birthday in 8 years we weren't broke. He got a sitter, rented a mercedes, gave me new dresses and purses, took me to the top floor of a 5 star hotel, made dinner and club reservations at 2 amazing place

A Full House Trumps Nine Trips to the Airport

Between May 22nd and June 9th I made a grand total of nine trips to the airport to pick-up or drop-off family. I loved having everyone here though so I didn't mind at all. The only time I really mind driving is when I'm downtown in my big boat van, which is not made for Europe :P We were able to see quite a bit! I don't think V & S got to see as much as they would have wanted due to the joys of traveling with a baby, but I know they had a good time. Toledo - We got here late on a Sunday so nothing was open to see, but we looked at the outsides of buildings which were still intriguing and ate a good dinner as the sun was setting. Josh was even able to make it out! I forgot my camera but I knew Vita had one so I didn't mind too much. We got a lot of cute family shots ( thanks for the pics, V !). Toledo is a beautiful city and I plan on going again with my camera and more time to see and do :) Downtown Madrid - V & S grabbed a hotel in a nice area an
