Summer Winding to an End

We had an unusually short and mild summer this year. Already we're getting cold temps at night, strong winds throughout the day, and the occasional thunderstorm. This makes for many movie and game days in the house. There is a lot of wrestling, tickling, and fighting going on in the house. All good fun! We also have our hot sunny days, which we spend in the pool.

I am still waiting for the final word on my job. Government positions require heaps of paperwork, regardless of what the job actually is. I even had to get a hearing and vision test... really? I understand that with insurance benefits comes a physical, but it's annoying. There may be even more paperwork to fill out... 5 hours away from here at the "main base". This better be worth it :P I've also dropped my application elsewhere. I think it's time for me to have some "me time" out in the working world. If I could get a job like my old one that would be awesome. I felt so import…

Noah's 6th Birthday

Hooray Hooray Noah turned six today!! We had such a great day today!!! Noah wanted pancakes and bacon for breakfast... 6 small pancakes (and one shaped like a 6 to "grow on" from Mommy). He did a fun little scavenger hunt for his big present, which was a lego Star Wars ship that he and Daddy built together all morning. Noah had that ship with him all day long. He also got a goggle and snorkel set from Tristan and a Ben 10 kite and frisbee from Brennan.

We spent all day playing together, laughing together, talking, hugging, kissing, wrestling, tickling, napping... it was perfect. We went to the park to fly his kite before dinner and cake and it actually made it up a few times, but there wasn't enough wind to keep it there. Noah didn't care! He was just happy to run with a kite. We all took turns trying to make it fly. Daddy taught him how to throw and catch his new frisbee and he's already a champ at throwing. Catching is a different story lol.

No Good News Means No News

I am not the type of person who will blast all over the internet when I am unhappy. I learned my lesson with that a long time ago. During stressful times I hardly take any pictures. I don't really get on the computer. I get quiet and "internal". I pour myself into my kids because they make me happy. That's me. Last month wasn't the best month, but things are looking up! I've been meaning to post, but with Josh on summer hours (home before 3) and the pool up and running... kids being as cute as they are, going to bed as late as they do (10pm in summer, right after sundown). I don't want to get on the computer most days. Especially not to blog since the whole process takes 2 or more hours. So forgive the long wait, blogosphere. Most of you know what's generally happening anyway since you broke the silence by asking me "what's up" through emails and phone calls (thank you, by the way), but here's the official update and some…
