Pendleton-King Park Revisited

Last time I tried to take Josh to see Pendleton-King Park it was closed so we went back out today. We didn't stay too long because it was another hot Georgia day and the gnats were driving us CRAZY. There was a new playground there that Noah really loved. Bosley loved it, Tristan loved it, I loved it... we always love being out :) I think Josh had fun too, especially when we pulled up to the pond so he could play with the fishes (haha). We're just big kids.

ALSO!!! I have some exciting news.... No, I'm not pregnant. Well at least I don't think I am. I haven't taken a test in awhile. ANYWAY... Tristan is starting to walk!! He is taking a few steps at a time and is struggling his little butt off to try and stand upright from sitting without any support. He's getting pretty good! I tried to get a video, but for whatever reason he will only walk to me. He also has a tendency to get so dang excited that he won't stand up and catch his balance before taking off. Tristan does that typical baby walk. He sticks his chest out, throws his arms back and basically just squeals as he dives towards someone, while kinda moving his legs hahaha. I love it :)

Looks like a lot of fun. I seriously love being outdoors. I know it sounds nuts but I really did take the girls to the park about 5 times a week before I started watching Drake. Now we are down to 3 times week with walks around our neighborhood. I just get antsy and so do the girls. I have started taking the girls to the library after Drake gets picked up. I love just soaking in that time alone with them, as much as I love Drake & all....I miss the time with just them.

Anyways Yay for Tristan I am so excited for him! He is going to be running full speed in no time! Ember climbs the couch everyday now and fell off today & bumped her nose. This monkey stage is exhausting! I wonder if Tristan will be a monkey too?

Oh you better take a test..that way i wont be the only one with 3 kids!!! And how exciting on the walking, Paige just started walking 2 weeks ago. I am so relieved it would have been hard to carry her and the new baby.

I was cracking up at the video in Noah's room. Noah tries to push Tristan away from the table in the normal "brotherly" fashion and then says, "Hey Tristan is standing up! Good job Tristan". LOL

BTW is that Noah's old shirt on Tristan? I remember you saying that Noah had a shirt just like Matthew's. And well, that shirt is just like Matthew's. I love that shirt.

Yeah Tristan! That is so exciting he's walking. I remember the baby walk for the first time. It's so adorable.
We havent' gotten out to much this summer other then swimming b/c it's so darn hot. I hope it starts cooling down so we can take her to the park and walks. I really need to start walking so I don't gain 100 lbs for this pregnancy!!!

Hurricane Sandy

This will be a gleefully uneventful post, but I thought I should at least inform everyone of our whereabouts during Frankenstorm. On Friday the landfall predictions were further south, which had the eye passing near our tiny town after obliterating Dover, DE.  We happen to be surrounded by water.  The Patuxent River on one side, Chesapeake Bay on the other, plenty of swamps and creeks in between.  Not a good prospect. Josh and I had gone out that night to try and secure supplies and already, there were no batteries or flashlights.  We also don't have a grill and thought "we'll try Lowe's tomorrow"I mean, most people already own grills... right?  Everything in our house is run on electricity (including the water pump for the well) except for the fireplace.  I don't know what builders are thinking when they do that.  I at least want a gas stove and water heater!  So, anyways.  We got a few hours of sleep before trying to brave the crowds...

Germany

Noah and I are having a great time out in Germany with Josh. The house we're sharing is amazing and the people are also amazing. The only thing we don't have is our own kitchen, but like I said, the people who live here (Josh's friends) are amazing so it's not even an issue. I've been cooking for everyone to try to thank them in some way. We haven't been to many places yet. It's hard to go anywhere with a baby who has a naptime and a husband who has a job. However!! We managed to make it out to Heidelberg to see the castle. It was awesome. the walk up to the castle mmmm castle Heidelberg down below Christmas is huge here. They've even got Christmas markets out in the parking lot in front of WalMart. We've been to Luisenplatz a few times in downtown Darmstadt to visit all the Christmas shops they have set up. It's like a Christmas flea market. Thus far all I've blown money on is candy... mmmm German candy is so delicious. It's...

Hiking on the Guadarrama Trail

As promised yesterday, I actually left the house and went on a hike with Mama C and Goober!  YAY! I was a bad Mommy and ill prepared to shield us from the hot Spanish sun so we all have a touch of sunburn.  Whoops.  It was fun though.  OK so here's where we began our journey.  You can see the bridge between the roundabout and the little house with a red roof (which is a restaurant).  All the cylindrical buildings were a plant nursery.  We walked over the bridge and past the nursery where we crossed the street and then started up the dirt path.  The other little building is literally a Gypsy Keep. Here's what it looked like from the road... and it was so ridiculously creepy, yet fascinating.  I don't know why there is always tons of junk in trees around gypsy places.  There was a gutted van in the backyard, a stroller jammed into a wall, shorts in the trees.  We both wanted to trespass, but the kids would have inevitably fal...
