Nearly 3am

I thought I was excited or hot or something when I woke up an hour ago. I just couldn't get back to sleep. Finally I started to drift off and the phone rang. It was Josh! He had just gotten out of emergency surgery. Apparently all the pain he's been having in his jaw wasn't because he grinds his teeth at night. A piece of food had somehow worked its way under his gums and beneath his wisdom tooth. It had obviously become extremely infected and was so abcessed that it was pulling the gum from the tooth and the muscle from the jawbone. They actually had to scrape part of the infection from his jawbone. I'm really glad he went to dental sick call this morning. Maybe now he won't grind his teeth! My gums hurt just thinking about it :P I think that Josh and I have a connection because I randomly awoke when he was admitted to surgery and stayed awake until he was out and safe... without knowing it.

In other news. I am so excited!!! When I woke up all I thought about was the baby. What to eat, how to exercise, what medicines are OK, how to paint the new nursery, how to paint Noah's room (he's getting older). Names names names!!! Little fingers and toes, labor, doctor appointments, cocoa butter! My brain flies off the handle badly enough without such awesome news :) My probable due date is on or around September 21st. We don't care if it's a boy or girl, but want a girl next... we'll be ecstatic either way. I need to call the doctor tomorrow for a "real" test. I hate going to that hospital :P However, the whole OB floor is actually really nice and the doctors are good and you get to keep the same one the entire time. OK maybe this got it out of my system. I am going back to sleep. Goodnight everyone.

Having an infection in your jaw can be dangerous,I'm glad he had the dentist take care of it,it sounds painful.

I am still like that with this pregnancy,it's so much fun to be pregnant .Some people hate the wait and all the things that go along with being pregnant but I love it.I figure we only get to go through it a few times in our lives,and I missed being pregnant after having Ava.So I have been soaking everything in.It's diff. the second time around.You don't really worry as much and with a toddler to chase after it goes by fast!!Whats your e-mail address?...I have been leaving way too long of posts on here!haha

Still Happy!! HOORAY!!

We're still going strong with our happiness levels out here. Yesterday was a little bit rough because Tristan was especially whiney, but today was amazing :) We got our grocery shopping done and even managed to have fun doing that! Noah and I were singing Christmas songs already while Tris and Bren laughed at us. Tristan sometimes piped in with a "all the way" when we were singing Jingle Bells. Noah was cracking up when I sang him the Batman version :D After all that excitement the 2 wee ones went down for their naps and Noah and I gave Bosley a bath with his new tea extract shampoo. Almost Doesn't Count

We almost ended up with a puppy today. An adorable baby Jack Russell Terrier mix wandered into our yard. He was very sweet, laid back, flea-ridden, dirty, cute, a little broken, good temperament, un-fixed, and very very good with Noah and Emma. I asked the neighbors about him and they showed me where the owner lived. She took him inside and told me how he's driving her crazy because he chews through collars and gets out of the yard (which is because he's a puppy and not an outside breed). She mentioned possibly getting rid of him. Lo and behold he wandered back into our yard not too long after that... interesting. I wanted to adopt him because he was unwanted, but shouldn't have been. He was a very sweet dog. I would have called him Jackie I think :) This brings me to a rant. I know I've posted about the way people around here treat their pets. This is a perfect example. This lady didn't want the puppy anymore so she simply let it go. No collar, no tags...

Project 365: Jan 16 - 20

Tuesday, January 16th - more snow and a cotton candy sunset. It wasn't much, but the ice beneath and timing of the snow itself  meant a snow day for the kids! Now that they're teenagers, that precious time is spent catching up on sleep, which makes working from home pretty easy for me. Wednesday, January 17th - the morning light changes throughout the year as the earth moves around the sun. In winter, it peeks in through my living room window and spotlights the entertainment center in warm light.  Thursday, January 18th - Braved the inch of ice on the ground to attend a legislative reception in Annapolis with my coworkers/friends.
