So Far So Good

We're having another good day today! We started our day at 7am. I fed Tristan, then Noah and myself. After breakfast we took a short walk around the block. We were going to go for at least 2 blocks, but Noah was running and wiped out and scraped his hand. Normally he's fine when he gets a boo-boo but this time it was a scrape so it must have burned. He claimed he NEEDED a band-aid so we went home. He ended up peeling the band-aid off 5 minutes later. Sigh. I fed Tristan again and once he fell back asleep we did our craft.


Noah and I decorated some pumpkins (technically gourds, but they look like mini pumpkins to me). Noah really enjoyed it and got marker allllll over his hands and face. I don't know if he remembered from last year or if it was just a coincidence, but he only drew with the black and orange markers. He decorated one pumpkin and I decorated all the others. We placed them in the living room archways. After I took a picture of the pumpkins on display I realized we needed to clean the living room. So we did :)

I managed to keep the TV off all day until naptime (which is now). We always watch a movie in my bed to help us calm down before we take a nap. I just played our Disney music and that was enough to keep us all entertained today.

It sounds like a really good day!Actually it sounds so familiar.A lot how our days go!It's nice to have someone going through the same things as me.I think all of us on blogger have a lot in common but having two is a whole different story sometimes! :)
It's funny because we tried keeping the tv off this morning too.
I love your craft idea of little pumpkins.Ava says pumpkin now & it's sooo funny.
It sounds like you are already getting the hang of things!

You are so cute and crafty. It seems that you have a pretty good schedule down already. I really wish I had the energy to do small crafts with Lilly. Just lately i have been so over tired, I cant get enough sleep. I am so happy just sleeping all day if i could. I know Lilly is bored out of her mind! Maybe I'm pregnant again!! HAHAHAH ok thats really not funny! I got the picture of tristan. You really have a gorgeous family !!!

Still Happy!! HOORAY!!

We're still going strong with our happiness levels out here. Yesterday was a little bit rough because Tristan was especially whiney, but today was amazing :) We got our grocery shopping done and even managed to have fun doing that! Noah and I were singing Christmas songs already while Tris and Bren laughed at us. Tristan sometimes piped in with a "all the way" when we were singing Jingle Bells. Noah was cracking up when I sang him the Batman version :D After all that excitement the 2 wee ones went down for their naps and Noah and I gave Bosley a bath with his new tea extract shampoo. Almost Doesn't Count

We almost ended up with a puppy today. An adorable baby Jack Russell Terrier mix wandered into our yard. He was very sweet, laid back, flea-ridden, dirty, cute, a little broken, good temperament, un-fixed, and very very good with Noah and Emma. I asked the neighbors about him and they showed me where the owner lived. She took him inside and told me how he's driving her crazy because he chews through collars and gets out of the yard (which is because he's a puppy and not an outside breed). She mentioned possibly getting rid of him. Lo and behold he wandered back into our yard not too long after that... interesting. I wanted to adopt him because he was unwanted, but shouldn't have been. He was a very sweet dog. I would have called him Jackie I think :) This brings me to a rant. I know I've posted about the way people around here treat their pets. This is a perfect example. This lady didn't want the puppy anymore so she simply let it go. No collar, no tags...

Project 365: Jan 16 - 20

Tuesday, January 16th - more snow and a cotton candy sunset. It wasn't much, but the ice beneath and timing of the snow itself  meant a snow day for the kids! Now that they're teenagers, that precious time is spent catching up on sleep, which makes working from home pretty easy for me. Wednesday, January 17th - the morning light changes throughout the year as the earth moves around the sun. In winter, it peeks in through my living room window and spotlights the entertainment center in warm light.  Thursday, January 18th - Braved the inch of ice on the ground to attend a legislative reception in Annapolis with my coworkers/friends.
