To Reporters

My blog has been found by the powers of Google and I am being contacted by reporters for statements and pictures of Trista. Sorry, members of the press, I just don't feel up to it. These pictures are not mine, they are all Trista's and I cannot give permission to anyone to use them. I would hope that you would respect that and not force me to take any of the pictures down. I would contact her family, but I personally don't think it's right to bother them with this. My blog is up as a tribute and a place where people can go and leave their goodbyes without cluttering her Myspace. Just tell everyone that everywhere she went she had friends. And that we're all going to miss her.

Update: Since the vultures have started in on my blog I left only one photo up which I'm sure no one will mind being posted. FYI reporters... SHE WAS A SERGEANT!!! The official release from the DoD even states that so calling her a Specialist is getting pretty annoying. She earned that rank so get it right.

My name is Carey, I went to high school with Trista, and she attended college with my best friend. She was always funny, outgoing, and sarcastic. I can't believe she's gone.

Allie, I am so sorry for the pain you feel. It's so unfortunate that I came across your blog under these very painfully sad circumstances. It's a devastating blow! There are no words. I just can't believe it still. Trista was so cool and such a spark. I hurt but I imagine your hurt is so much worse. Take care, especially for the bambino in the belly. Luv, Ace

Oh, Allie, I'm so sorry. You wrote a beautiful tribute and opened up a place for people to come and share their memories of Trista. What a gift.

Trista was best friends with my sis
I remember hanging with her late at night cause my sister would go to sleep. She was soo much fun and a true sweet heart. She will be greatly missed. Her memory will not be forgotten.

I am the NJ State Captain for the Patriot Guard Riders. In the past year and a half, I have unfortunately set up and attended way too many mission rides for our lost American Heroes. On most of these missions I don't have the opportunity to learn as much as I would like about these brave soldiers who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their Country. Reading your blog about your personal relationship with Trista gave me an insight of her life and personality and I appreciate that. Although I am presently out of state, I have been working on setting up two other missions and sadly will not be present with my PGR Brother's who will attend to honor and respect. I will however be back in NJ and present at the services for Sgt Moretti if the Family approves our request to attend. While I am standing there with my brothers and sisters of the PGR honoring the life of Sgt Moretti, I will now have a more in-depth knowledge of the greatness of the person we are there to honor. Thank you for that and my sincere condolences for your loss. If I can be of any assistance at all please contact me.

Though I have been depressed, life is trudging on. I had my 7mo baby appointment and everything is right on track. I'm 28wks and 5 days along. My belly is a whopping 29cm. I didn't get any guff about losing a little weight. My blood pressure wasn't high this time. My sugar test came back normal. I've got a little sciatica so the doc gave me some stretches to try out. Enough Planning, More Doing

I've been researching, reading about, diving into, writing about, and thinking about building confidence and self-trust for about 8 years now. It's time to get more intentional and active about it. I think I'm ready to move into that phase finally. I have a tendency to take in information and keep mulling it over, writing and expounding upon this that and the other, but now it's time for an actual plan. An action plan. I understand the problem as much as I can from the outside looking in. Now it's time to create learning opportunities: to make mistakes and deal with the consequences or to achieve something and deal with the praise. That's the next phase of learning... doing . So today I am creating a specific list of tasks that I have to do in the months ahead that specifically target insecurities and seek to force me to deal with the reality of those insecurities.
